Bluff Council votes to restrict lodging, restaurants

The Town of Bluff has voted to restrict all but “essential service” businesses, and the deemed the only “essential service” to be the K&C Trading Post.
The decision was made with a unanimous vote of the Bluff Town Council on March 25.
The restrictions include short term rentals, such as motels, hotels, AirBnb and VRBOs, campgrounds and RV parks. The policy is effective immediately.
Restaurants in Bluff have voluntarily closed and there is no food service other than at the K&C, which has take-out service only. All short-term rentals must vacate by Sunday, March 29.
A more detailed declaration will be forthcoming and will be printed in the San Juan Record and at sjrnews.com.
Bluff Town officials urge residents to “please adhere to all CDC recommendations by social distancing, limiting groups to ten or less, washing hands, and limiting travel.
“If you experience symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, please contact your medical provider for direction.
“The welfare and safety of all of Bluff and the wider community are of paramount concern.
