Berta Deanne Lund Taylor passed away after a courageous fight with breast cancer on July 13, 2008 in Bountiful, Utah, at the age of 69.

She was born in Richfield, Utah on November 6, 1938, the youngest of seven children born to Mary Julia Wilson and Bert Glen Lund.

Berta was married to Neilo Q Taylor on November 26, 1955 in Mayfield, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on January 28, 1984.

As a faithful member of the LDS church, Berta enjoyed serving in various callings. She loved history and genealogy and was very active in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

She was creative and talented in a great many ways. She loved music and the outdoors. Berta found great joy and satisfaction in serving her friends and family.

Berta is preceded in death by her father and mother, brother, Benjamine and sister, LeOra. She is survived by her husband, Neilo; daughter Audry Campbell (Keith), son Kelly, son, Vance (Patty), son Melvin “Sparky” (Donna), daughter Lara Campbell (Allen) and daughter City Snow, as well as 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, July 17, 2008 in Bountiful. Those who wish, may donate to cancer research in lieu of flowers.
