Blue Mountain Entertainment celebrates its 60th season with an opening show by the popular and fun Bar D Wranglers on Monday, Oct. 15, at 7p.m. in the High School Auditorium. The Wranglers perform a music and comedy stage show with songs of the Old West, lively instrumentals, and knee-slap’n comedy.

The widely-known Bar D Wranglers are a western music singing group from the Bar D Chuckwagon Suppers in Durango, Colorado.  The group has performed for over 2.5 million guests at its Durango location and on countless other stages and venues around the United States.

Charlie Daniels says “Almost every country in the world has its fondly remembered romantic era which symbolizes the spirit of a nation and its people.

“No historical figure signifies the spirit of our nation like the American Cowboy, the fearless young men who sat tall in the saddle and drove half-wild cattle a thousand miles across dry, desolate country and faced down whatever dangers came their way, be it sandstorm, flood, rustlers or stampede.

“And nothing symbolizes the spirit, life and times of the cowboy like the music. It’s all here, it’s all authentic and when it’s mixed in with the outstanding musicianship, tight harmony and the hilarious hijinks of the Bar D Wranglers, it makes for a fun night you won’t soon forget.”

The group began performing at the Bar D Chuckwagon in June of 1969 and continues the tradition nightly throughout the summer months.

When the Bar D Wranglers take their show on the road, they perform the classic cowboy-western music for which they are so well known, as well as award-winning instrumental and comedy songs and crowd-pleasing stories that will delight the entire family.

The Bar D Wranglers include Gary Cook, a two-time national flat pick champion guitar player who also sings tenor, Matt Palmer, who plays a hot fiddle and sings baritone, Joel Racheff, who sings funny and plays the upright bass, and Richard Espinoza, who sings lead vocals and plays rhythm guitar.

Blue Mountain Entertainment hopes you enjoy the show as much as the Wranglers enjoy performing for you!
