Fifth grade students at Monticello Elementary School recently celebrated the culmination of the DARE program under the direction of Office Cole Young of the Monticello Police Department.

This is the first class at MES to be taught the program by Young, who previous taught for six years in Sanpete County. Officer Young says, “I am a firm believer in the DARE program. DARE is a key tool for young people at this age to learn to be confident in themselves and to know there is a support system with local law enforcement.”
