Frederick Karl White passed away November 12, 2018 at the age of 75.

Fred was born August 5, 1943 in Muncie, IN to Ray Charles Wesley White and Mable Estella Haines. He was the fourth child of five children.

He grew up in Muncie, where he graduated from high school in 1962. He joined the Air Force and served in Japan for three years.

While he was in Japan, he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon completion of his military service, he returned to Indiana and then served in the Western States Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Fred married Elayne Sonderegger on November 21, 1992 in the Jordan River Temple and moved to Blanding. He worked at the Four Corners Nursing Home in the maintenance department, and later at Clark’s Market.

He enjoyed working with wood, leatherwork, and gardening. He loved watching the Utah Jazz.

Fred was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and Elayne taught the Sunbeam primary class. He served as the ward mission leader, the clerk in the Bluff Branch, and as an ordinance worker in the Monticello Temple.

Funeral services are Wednesday, November 21 at the Monticello Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 11 a.m. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment at the Monticello Cemetery with military honors.

He is survived by Elayne, his wife of 26 years, sons Jonathan David White and Jefferey Allen (Kimberly) White, grandchildren Izabella Star, Xiin Alexander, and Ryze Maxwell, sister Rebecca Turner, brothers Roger and Dick, mother-in-law Vernetta Sonderegger, brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Relva Bowring, Paul and Michelle Sonderegger; many nieces and nephews.

His parents and one brother precede him in death.
