November 18, 1973 ~ June 3, 2009

Captain Gordon Lynn Hyde II, 35, passed away June 3, 2009 from injuries sustained in a tragic swimming accident in Chicago, IL.

Born November 18, 1973 in Monticello, UT to Gordon Lynn and Joyce Bradford Hyde.

He married Valerie Lea Thomas May 23, 1998 in Mesa, AZ; solemnized January 15, 2000 in the Monticello, UT LDS Temple. He graduated from Lassen High School in Susanville, CA; completed an honorable mission in Kobe Japan; owned H & H Technology; and finally was a Captain for SkyWest Airlines under the United and Delta banners.

He was an amazing father. He shared his love of hunting, fishing, and the outdoors with his three children.

To know him was to love him; he lived life fully, loved unconditionally, and will be missed by all. Our appreciation to all of the doctors, nurses and staff that did everything possible.

Words do not describe our appreciation to the SkyWest team from the beginning to the end for their help, support, prayers and strength. They have shown us great honor and by so doing, honored themselves.

He is survived by his wife Valerie; children Joshua Lynn, Bradford Thomas, and Hailey Jo (Queen Creek, AZ); sisters Audree (Chris) Roberts (Layton, UT); Holly (Matthew) Urein (Tooele, UT); parents Gordon Lynn (Susan) Hyde (Sandy, UT) and Joyce Bradford (Jay) Fackrell (Midvale, UT); grandparents Kay and LaRae Bradford (Blanding, UT); seven nieces and four nephews.

He is preceded in death by grandparents Gordon (Zona) Hyde and Donna Anderson Holdeman.
