November 14, 1933 ~ January 30, 2012

Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend died January 30, 2012 after a long and painful battle with cancer.

Margaret was born November 14, 1933 in Blanding, UT to Alma and Lila Palmer. She was the oldest of four sisters: Shirley (Tobe), Ilene, Karma, Kaye, and two brothers, Bart and Lyman.

In the summer of 1952, on July 2, she married D. Gordon Redd for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After they were married, she was blessed with three of her own children, several adopted children, as well as being a mother to countless foster children, and “Grandma” to even more.

She always enjoyed going to her cabin, watching the Utah Jazz and raising and taking care of kids and animals.

Throughout her life she always had a strong testimony and shared and taught the gospel to her family and neighbors. She served diligently many times in the Primary, in the Indian Branch, and taught Indian Seminary.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, brother Bart, and others dear to her.

Funeral services were held February 6, 2012 at the Blanding North Chapel. She will be missed by all who knew her.

The family would to express their gratitude to all the medical staff that helped with her care during her illness. Also, many thanks to all those who showed kindnesses to the family during this difficult time from all the delicious food to the kind words of support that were given.
