The Monument Valley High School wrestling team qualified six wrestlers for the 1A state tournament by placing at the divisional tournament in the past week. Three Cougars wrestled for the divisional championship, including Tanner Tsinigine at 138 pounds, Cleve Atene at 170 pounds, and Tyler Cly at 285 pounds. Others qualifying for the state tournament include Matthew Atene (third at 145 pounds), Roderick Cly (fourth at 152 pounds), and Kaleo Atene (third at 195 pounds). With a fifth place finish, Tommy Kaytso just missed the state qualification.
