Gregory Barr, originally from Monticello, greets his wife after returning from deployment to Iraq. Dozens of airmen from the Utah Air National Guard recently returned home after a seven-month deployment in Iraq. Airmen from Utah Air National Guard’s 151st Security Forces landed at Salt Lake International Airport and were met with the open arms of family. During the deployment, Utah Airmen assisted in airbase defense, as well as a variety of missions that have helped hone their skills as well as those of their Iraqi counterparts. While in Iraq, Airmen provided support for a visit by former U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates. Barr is the son of Pat and Tina Barr of Monticello. Photo courtesy KSTU, Fox 13
