The young women compete in three areas: interview, speech and horsmanship. Speech and horsemanship events are open to the public to watch.
A queen, a princess, and two attendants will be crowned to represent the San Juan County Fair, which opens with the Blue Mountain Round-up Rodeo August 5.
Contestants competing in the Senior division are Erika Grover, 18, and Amanda Grover, 15, daughters of Erik and Janalee Grover of Blanding; Loren Randall, 18, daughter of Sanford and Laurie Randall of Monticello; Taralee Frost, 15, daughter of Alan and Debbie Frost of Monticello; and Abigail Hatcher, 17, daughter of Keith and Rachael Hatcher of Blanding.
Contestants competing in the Junior division are Kiley Tracy, 10, daughter of Charley and Kim Tracy of Monticello; Megan Grover, 12, daughter of Preston and Tara Grover of Blanding; Krista Grover, 13, daughter of Erik and Janalee Grover of Blanding; and Kylee Fullmer, 14, and Shelby Fullmer, 12, daughters of Kyle and Melissa Fullmer of Monticello.
