The 1A, 2A, and 3A Junior High State Wrestling Tournament was a big success for the Buckaroos from Monticello.

Eleven wrestlers traveled to Richfield, UT to compete in the tournament, including Matt and Mark Beh, Justus Robison, Thomas Anderson, Tyler Draper, Brayson and Gage Wilcox, McKayd and Keldon LaRose, Zac Musselman, and Shandon Bradford.

The team brought home the third place trophy. This is quite an accomplishment considering there are only 11 wrestlers and the first place team had 56 wrestlers.

Individual medals are awarded to Gage Wilcox (fourth at 104 pounds), Brayson Wilcox (third at 90 pounds), McKayd LaRose (third at 112 pounds), Zac Musselman (first at 120 pounds), and Shandon Bradford (first at 116 pounds).

This is the second year in a row that Zac and Shandon are State champions. Look forward to many more from the team in the future. They appreciate the coaches and parents who make these experiences successful.
