July 7, 1931 ~ December 17, 2007 Richard W. Meyer Jr. was born July 7, 1931, in Burbank, California to Francis and Richard Wilton Meyer Sr. He spent his childhood and early teenage years in Helper and Portland, Oregon. The family then returned to California where he lived in Long Beach, California and graduated from Wilson High School. After high school he spent four years in the U.S Air Force, stationed mostly in Colorado Springs. He then attended Long Beach State College and graduate
