This week, the Business Spotlight is on Blue Mountain Foods, which is owned and operated by Doug and Chris Allen, of Monticello.

Blue Mountain Foods is a full-service, home-town grocery store. Not only are the shelves stocked full with packaged goods, the store also offers a full service bakery, including custom cake decorating; a full service deli and meat department, taking custom meat orders; and veggie, fruit, and deli trays made to order by the produce department.

But, that’s not all. Doug and Chris strive to meet their customers’ needs and keep community members shopping local. When you shop at Blue Mountain Foods, their friendly staff will help you find the products you’re looking for.

If you are looking to buy something and don’t see it on the shelf, feel free to talk with one of the managers – most often, they will be able to place a special order just for you.

And don’t be surprised when you have bought a cart (or arm) loaded with groceries and a hard working Blue Mountain Foods staff member offers to help you out to your car.

The Allens have packed a lot into their store. Open Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Blue Mountain Foods is located at 64 W Center Street in Monticello. They look forward to serving you!
