A number of San Juan County residents have filed to run for municipal elections in November.

Six Monticello residents have filed to run for the three open positions on the Monticello City Council. They include Scott Frost, Jeremy Hoggard, Scott Shakespeare, Monte Wells, Tom Wigginton and Tim Young. Frost and Shakespeare are incumbents. Councilman Walter Bird did not file to run again.

In Blanding, all three incumbents refiled for the open spots on the City Council. They include David Johnson, Kelly Laws, and Joe B. Lyman. In addition, Robert Ogle and James Slavens filed for the open positions.

Henry “Skip” Meier, an incumbent, is the only person to file for the three open seats on the Bluff Service Area Board of Trustees.

The general election is Tuesday, November 2. No primary election will be necessary.
