In the business spotlight this week is Wagon Wheel Pizza, owned and operated for 27 years by Susie Peebles.

Located at 164 S. Main in Monticello, this business has become a landmark to the local residents and has probably employed someone you know.

This business employs seven local residents and has learned to bend effectively with the economic twists and turns over the years. Offering a consistently great tasting pizza, topped and baked to the customers liking has developed this business’ reputation.

Not only does the Wagon Wheel have pizza, but offers a variety of sandwiches, hard shell tacos, salads, turnovers and soups (in the winter). The menu still has lunch and dinner items offered for under $5 to meet the local demand.

This is a fun and unique place to go because the kitchen is open, so you may watch your food being prepared, adding a little extra to your eating experience.

The 1969 pizza oven can handle up to 10 pizzas at a time, enabling large orders to be delivered in a timely manner.

Large orders for events are available but need to be ordered in advance. Order it anyway you want it, cooked to your liking or ready to bake. You can preorder to dine in or takeout by calling 435-587-2766.

Susie is thankful to Monticello and the surrounding communities for their support throughout the years. Stop in, have a pizza or sandwich, and say hi.
