Homecoming at area schools

Homecoming activities will take place this week at Monticello and San Juan high schools.

The Monticello celebration has the theme “Any Way You Win It”. Public events in Monticello include the homecoming queen pageant on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the high school.

The homecoming parade begins at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The parade route begins at the high school and travel north on 200 West to the elementary school. From there, the parade will travel back to the high school on 100 West from 200 North to 100 South.

The Buckaroo volleyball team hosts Pinnacle Canyon with games at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

The homecoming football game is Friday at 7 p.m. when the Buckaroos host the Altamont Longhorns.

San Juan High School plans a host of activities, culminating in the homecoming football game against South Sevier on Friday at 7 p.m.

Powder puff football is Wednesday at 7 p.m., the Lady Broncos play volleyball on Thursday, the homecoming assembly is Friday at 11 a.m. and the homecoming parade begins at noon on Friday.
