Herbert’s itinerary includes making the first-ever statewide broadcast from a Utah governor. The Governor’s address will be broadcast via the Utah Education Network (UEN) from the USU/CEU center in Blanding and will be available via livestream to every high school in the state.
The Governor will address students on the importance of post-secondary education beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Governor will then take questions via interactive UEN feeds from students in Rich, Orem, and Murray high schools. Students from San Juan High School in Blanding will join the Governor in the USU/CEU center during the broadcast.
Representative Ronda Menlove, USU Provost, will also participate in the broadcast from her office in Logan. The student body president of San Juan High School, Kendra Parker, will introduce the Governor.
The Governor is also scheduled to visit Old Bluff Fort, speak to students at Whitehorse High School in Montezuma Creek, stop at the Blanding Welcome Center and visit businesses in Monticello, including Youngs Machine.
