Are you a landowner in or around the Blanding Community?

Are you concerned about fire hazards on or around your property?

A community fire plan is being updated for the Blanding watershed. YOUR HELP IS NEEDED in the planning process to outline specific needs pertaining to wildfire education and emergency planning. The fire plan will also identify goals to reduce hazardous fuels within your community.

All interested property owners are encouraged to attend the first planning meeting on February 5, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. at the Blanding Fire Station on 350 West 200 South in Blanding.

For more information please contact Alison Lerch, National Fire Plan Coordinator at 435-210-0362 or Ben Huntsman, San Juan County Fire Warden at 435-459-0115.
