Two vehicles were stolen in separate incidents in Monticello on the night of February 10. One truck was taken from the Utah Department of Transportation Road Shed and was later abandoned near San Juan Hospital.

The second vehicle, another truck, was taken from a private residence and found abandoned the following day north of city limits.

It appears as if the vehicles were used for joy riding. In addition, several items were taken from the vehicles.

The San Juan County Sheriff’s office has offered a $500 reward for information resulting in the arrest and conviction of those involved in the incidents.

If you have any information, please call 435-587-2237. The Sheriff’s office said the information received will be kept confidential.
