The 2016 Allred Scholarship winners were Asa Bradford – from San Juan High School; (Business Scholarship), Cole Montella – from San Juan High School; (Business Scholarship), Averi Christiansen – from Monticello High School; (Business Scholarship), LaShay Lewis – from Monticello High School; (Business Scholarship), & Brevin Norton – from Whitehorse High School; (Medical Scholarship).

The four Business Scholarship winners went out to New York for three days to see the Sales process from Zach Allred and his team. They were given the opportunity to attend the Sales team meeting and to go out and knock doors with individual top performers. We also went to see an installation in New Jersey and toured their office and warehouse. While we were out in New York we were able to go to a Yankee’s game, tour all over New York City, and even take in a Broadway show. The second half of the week the winners flew back to Utah and met with several different high level employees from all different departments; including HR, IT, Customer Service, Finance, and they took calls in our Call Center. They were able to see the other side of the sales process, and also to get a better understanding about what different departments do here including being able to participate in some of the departments day to day tasks at Vivint Solar.

Averi Christiansen quote – from Facebook – ‘…I am so honored to have been given this opportunity and am grateful to have learned all about how a large company is run. …It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience’

Cole Montella quote – from Facebook – ‘…Would like to say thank you to the Allred Family for this amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity. It was exciting to see how this awesome company operates’

Brevin Norton was our Medical Scholarship winner and he traveled to St. George for 3 days to meet with Dan Allred and Darin Allred.

Brevin spent time in the local hospitals and clinics in and around St. George, Utah. He was able to be in the operating room and watch an entire open-heart surgery procedure. In addition, he was able to spend time with, shadow, and interview with some of the best doctors in Utah. They took some time to go to the Tuacahn theatre and take advantage of the great lakes around the area.
