October 7, 1935 ~ November 19, 2016

Constance Gay Little Swenson returned to her heavenly home on November 19, 2016.

Connie was born October 7, 1935 in Fredonia, AZ to James A. Little and Felna Judd Little. Connie spent most of her childhood in Kanab, UT with her parents and brother, Robert Little and younger sister, Joan Little Mavis.

In 1944, they moved to Orem, UT were she would later meet the love of her life, Morris J. Swenson. They were married on December 14, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In 1957, they moved to Blanding, UT where they started their family. They had six children: John, Michael, Blair, Craig, Jim and Linda.

Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She spent her life supporting her children in any endeavor they were a part of, most of them being sporting events.

With Morris coaching three seasons of sports, Connie had most of the family responsibilities. She never complained and was always loving and kind. If there was a ball game, you could count on seeing Connie there.

Connie loved the gospel and held many positions throughout the years. She loved the seminary program and was honored to give each child and grandchild $100 if they completed it.

Connie enjoyed children; she worked at the middle school as a tutor for many years. She developed many lasting relationships with a lot of the children she worked with.

She was a very compassionate person and was kind to everyone.

When Connie and Morris moved to Blanding, they intended to stay for three years, but friends soon became their new family. Connie had many close friends that she could count on and loved, along with their children which she loved as much as her own.

They would spend hours on the phone lending a listening ear or solving world problems and consulting one another. They were a vital part of her life and brought her a significant amount of happiness.

Connie leaves behind her husband, Morris J. Swenson, of Blanding; her children, Blair (Paula) Swenson of Springville, Craig (Heidi) Swenson of Blanding, Jim Swenson of Blanding, Linda Larson of Blanding and Barbara Swenson of Moab; 16 grandchildren (and spouses) and 22 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sons John and Michael.

Connie was buried in Blanding, UT on November 28, 2016. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
