Blanding City Council
4-year term

I am a long-term resident and property owner in Blanding. I am starting my 24th year as a fifth grade teacher at Blanding Elementary.

In my teaching, I have always validated my students and their cultures. I believe Blanding is a good community in which to rear a family.

If elected, I will strive to maintain the values and principles that have successfully undergirded our community. I support the Blanding City staff and will work to ensure that we remain an attractive employer of choice. I will continue the fight to attract family-supporting jobs to our community.

I have positioned myself publicly against the Bears Ears National Monument.

The primary role of City government is to protect its citizens through law enforcement and fire prevention and abatement, through water resources development, drainage, and waste disposal, and the development of other infrastructure such as roads.

Blanding has done an excellent job living within its means and we need to continue to do so. Politically and personally I am conservative. I am proud to be an American and to have the opportunity to run for office, and hopefully to be able to serve our community as a member of the Blanding City Council.
