Randall has been very involved in San Juan County communities, where he is a Monticello City Councilman and a sergeant of the Utah Highway Patrol.
He was on the tail end of a 28-year career with the Utah Highway Patrol.
Randall was also involved in serving local youth. He was a member of several state championship cross country teams at Monticello High School, both as a runner and as a head coach.
Randall passed away on January 7 of complications related to lymphoma. He leaves a wife, Laurie Randall, four married children, and a growing number of grandchildren.
The body of Randall was transported in a Utah Highway Patrol motorcade on January 7 from Provo to the mortuary in Moab.
A similar motorcade will bring his body to Monticello for the funeral and burial service on Saturday, leaving the Moab area at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday and arriving at the stake center around 8:35 a.m.
After the funeral, the motorcade will accompany the funeral procession to the Monticello Cemetery.
The family asks that instead of flowers, contributions be made to the Honoring Heroes Foundation at honoringheroesfoundation.org.
The organization was formed to protect and provide for fallen and wounded Utah Highway Patrol troopers and for the well-being of the dependents and employees of the Utah Highway Patrol.
