Shirley Ellen Steffen, born December 14, 1935 in Helena, MT, passed away on July 10, 2019. She was a long-time resident of Monticello. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Shirley was four-time world champion Horseshoe Pitcher and is a Hall of Fame recipient.

She is preceeded in death by her husband, JJ Steffen; daughter-in-law Linda Steffen; and son-in-law Douglas Berger.

She is survived by her sons Terry Clayton of Pratt, KS; Ronnie Clayton of Trinidad, CO; Michael Clayton of Dodge City, KS; and Daniel Steffen of Hays, KS and their spouses. She is also survived by her daughters Sue Brown and her husband Joe of Delta, UT; Becki Hightower of Grand Junction, CO; Carla Clayton of Orem, UT; and Lola Jalene Berger of Loveland, CO.

Services will be delayed until spring.
