The top female finisher, Keri Nelson of Grand Junction, CO, fought cold and wind to finish the race in 2:20, less than a minute from the course record.
The top overall finisher is Tom Ober of Durango, CO. His time was 2:12. He was followed, less than one minute later, by long time racer Rick Callies of Durango.
The top local individual racer to complete the race is Red Wolfe, who completed the grueling race in 3:28.
The top local mixed team includes Laura Butler, Jason Livingston and Andy Butler. Other mixed teams with local connections include Julie Holt, Brad Bunker and Tim McArthur, Aleigh Redd, Steven Redd and Julie Bunker and Marian Rockwood and Josh Peterson.
The top local family team includes William Phillips and Douglas Phillips and the local female team includes Elisa Rogers, Linda Rogers and Janna Rogers.
The event is sponsored by the Monticello Chamber of Commerce and City of Monticello. Race organizers say the triathlon may look different in the future because the Utah Department of Transportation is hesitant to let racers use Highway 191 during the bicycling leg of the race.
