As a single mother, mom worked hard to support her family. She worked for the State of Utah, Reed Hurst Trucking, and San Juan County. She and her sister Marian also co-owned and operated the Dairy Queen for over 20 years. Mom was a hard worker and a good provider. She taught her children to work and be responsible

She taught her family the gospel not only by word, but by example. Her dedication to the LDS Church was evident through the many years she taught in the Primary and Sunday School.

Mom loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and looked forward to spending time with them at every opportunity.

They loved to play games, roast marsmallows and read.

Mom loved to share her hobbies and talents, including quilting, sewing and crocheting, with her family. She was not just a great grandmother, she was “Great” and that was what they all called her.
