Bernie Christensen, a long time resident of Monticello, is the 2013 Citizen of the Year. The award is presented each year by the City of Monticello.
A mammoth fire is expected in Bluff on Friday, December 21, when a 16-foot effigy of a wooly mammoth is burned. The effigy was built in recent months by Bluff artist Joe Pachak.
The City of Blanding will begin the process of installing radio transmitters on utility meters in the city.
