Auto accident claims woman

A two-vehicle accident on icy roads claimed the life of a Blanding woman on March 11.
Liberty Little, age 33, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred four miles east of Monticello on Highway 491. Law enforcement officials state that Little’s 2005 Ford Explorer was traveling too fast for conditions when it hit snow and ice and spun out of control into oncoming traffic and was hit by a 1990 Toyota 4Runner driven by Kathy Rogers of Eastland.
Rogers suffered injuries to her head, chest and legs and was life-flighted to a hospital in Grand Junction, CO. She is expected to fully recover from her injuries.
