Dust in the Wind

DUST IN THE WIND
by Bill Boyle
Parishoners at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Monticello are excited about the prospects of a new church. The existing building has served the local Catholic community for decades, but is bursting at the seams.
Donations are secured for a new building on the vacant lot just south of the existing chapel. While there are still a number of hurdles to clear before construction can begin, the hope is that a new church will be in place soon.

Randy LaRose has received a new assignment. LaRose taught hundreds of students at the Monticello LDS Seminary for 19 years, while earning graduate degrees in education.
He is moving from high school students to college students at the Y.
But this Y is not BYU, but the other Y: Yale University. LaRose has been named as the new LDS Institute director in New Haven, CT, the home of Yale University. The LaRose family will leave Monticello this summer.
