First wedding in new Catholic church building

It is a time of new beginnings at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Monticello. The first wedding ceremony in a beautiful new chapel took place on August 15 when Jacob Regalado and Rachel O’Brien were married by Father Bill Wheaton. Oaklee Regalado (center) and Deacon Tom Corrao (left) were also involved. The 80-year-old building, which has housed the church in Monticello since 1935, will be torn down in coming days.
