COVID-19 claims two more lives in San Juan County in the past week

It was another tough week for the public health battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

Two more San Juan County residents passed away from the virus, including a man and a woman, both over the age of 85, who were residents of the Four Corners Regional Care Center in Blanding.

In total, 33 residents and 25 staff members at the facility have contracted the virus. The fatalities are the 18th and 19th in San Juan County.

According to San Juan Public Health, there are currently 142 active cases of COVID-19 in San Juan County, including 81 in the Blanding area, 21 in the Montezuma Creek area, 16 in the Monument Valley area, 13 in the Monticello area, seven in the Bluff area, and four in the Mexican Hat area.
