George Mack Low August 2, 1942 ~ November 16, 2023

George Mack Low, affectionately known as Mack, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023, in Blanding.
He was born on August 2, 1942, in Merced, CA and lived a fulfilling life marked by love, faith, and service.
Mack was a devoted family man, survived by his siblings Ross (Karma) Low, and his children Jeri (Dave) Burt, George Brian Low, Jessica Low, Jennifer (Kay) Walker, Jeanette Primich, Jolyn Low, and Julia Low, including step children Levi Joseph Schomas and Janika Schomas (Eric) Long.
He is also the proud patriarch of 30 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Rhonda Low, sister Kim Low, son James Low, granddaughter Danelle Hawkins, and grandson Austin James Low.
His family remembers him as a loving and faith-filled man who provided endless laughter and fond memories.
Mack was a lifelong learner and educator. He studied Education at the University of Utah, dedicating his life to fostering the growth and development of countless students. His career began in Blanding, UT, where he served as an elementary school teacher.
He spent the majority of his teaching career in Mexican Hat, UT, where he made a significant impact on the community.
After retiring from the San Juan School District, Mack continued his teaching career in West Valley, UT, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to education.
In addition to his remarkable career, Mack served his community as a Justice of the Peace for 14 years in Blanding, UT. He also served on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with his family for two years.
He served for several more years in the Four Corners area taking the gospel to the local people. His commitment to service was a testament to his character and his faith.
Outside of his professional life, Mack had a passion for family history work, a hobby that allowed him to connect deeply with his roots.
He also had a love for the great outdoors, often going sailing, camping, fishing, and jeeping.
His adventurous spirit was evident in his love for traveling, which he indulged whenever he had the opportunity.
Mack was also a lover of the arts, frequently attending the symphony and finding solace in reading.
In remembering Mack, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by service, love, and laughter. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
