Kelly C Rogers

October 13, 1953 ~ April 18, 2008

Kelly C Rogers was born in Monticello, Utah on October 13, 1953. He was the second child of Donald and Arlene Rogers.

He passed away peacefully in Monticello on Friday, April 18, 2008 at the age of 54, following a long battle with diabetes.

Kelly graduated from Monticello High School in 1972 and lived most of his life in Monticello.

Like his father, Kelly loved spending time outdoors. He liked to hunt, fish, hike, and explore the remote areas of San Juan County.

Kelly is preceded in death by his father, Donald C. Rogers and his infant son Chance Christopher Rogers.

He is survived by his mother Arlene C. Rogers, his brother Jeff (Paula) Rogers and his sister Marci (Earl) Stevens.

Kelly is also survived by his children, Misti (Jason) McCollin, Cori (Mike) Burton, Lynn (Dan) Thayden, Jennifer Rogers, Brian (Susie) Rogers, Christian Rogers, and his stepson, Michael Higgins. Also surviving are former wives Sherrie Brown, Leah Roberts, Meta Rayburn and Monica Higgins.

He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; Marissa, Rylee, and Braden McCollin; Casey, Tyler, Joshua, and Aaron Burton; Danyle, Lance, and Braxton Rogers; and Alec Thayden.

Graveside services were held in Monticello, Utah on Tuesday April 22, 2008 with interment in the Monticello City Cemetery.

We are especially grateful to the families of Richard and Monica Higgins and Lucio and Bernadette Regalado. Thank you for the love, friendship and companionship you extended to Kelly over the years, and especially the last few months. It means a lot to us.
