Marcie Lynne C. Johnston

Marcie Lynne Christensen Johnston returned to her Heavenly Father on October 29, 2014 in Cortez, CO.
She was born in Salt Lake City, UT to Clyde and Patricia Christensen on April 21, 1964. Marcia grew up in Monticello and graduated from Monticello High School. She participated in student government, cheerleading, and volleyball.
She was a beautiful spirit always putting others before herself, helping those in need and just being kind and loving to everyone. She was a CNA and used this to portray to others her love, acts of kindness, and determination to heal them in a loving way.
Marcie loved going to assisted living homes just to say hi or do what she could do to help them. She was truly loved by those she assisted. Marcia loved family outings, Lake Powell, and climbing rocks for Easter. She loved skiing on the Blue Mountain, deer season, music, and crocheting. Her character was such that she loved to laugh and enjoy life to its fullest.
She will always have a special place in our hearts and memories of her not forgotten, and will be greatly missed and loved more than she will ever know.
Survivors include her mother Pat, brothers Scott (Patty) and Robert. Her children Traykon (Ashley), Terill (Gen), and Zach, five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, her soul mate, Tom Chase and family all who dearly love her. She is preceded in death by her father Clyde.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation for all the acts of kindness, support, food, and flowers during this difficult time.
Services were held in Monticello on November 3, 2014. Interment at the Monticello Cemetery.
