Mary Kathleen Perkins

October 21, 1952 ~ December 2, 2012
After six years of painful suffering, Mary passed away December 2, 2012 at the age of 60. A memorial service was held on December 3 at home, where she was laid to rest.
Mary was born October 21, 1952 in Tribune, KS to James Elbert and Norma Jean Randles.
When Mary was three months old and her brother Arthur was two, their mother died from a heart attack.
Her dad, Elbert and her Aunt Viola brought them back to Colorado to live. Later, Elbert married Marvel Eastin. From this marriage, Mary and Arthur gained a brother, Larry. They were raised in Monticello and graduated from Monticello High School.
She married Lawrence Wayne Perkins in 1973. To this union, three children were born; Crystal, Jeannie and Nicholas. They made their home in Blanding.
In 1995, they packed up Nick and moved to Dove Creek, CO (Bug Point) and there they will remain.
Mary was always making things for others, meals for dad and the guys at the mining camps, for devoted Kenny’s and Elk Ridge customers, and of course, her family at home. She loved dancing to all types of music and playing the tambourine; along with quilting, painting, sewing, canning and crafts.
Mary devoted her life to her family and friends. Her relaxed and serene presence always made everyone around her feel comfortable. The love in her eyes and the warmth of her smile would brighten your day. Her sunny disposition would welcome you with open arms.
She leaves behind, her husband of 40 years, Wayne; daughters Crystal Perkins, Jeannie (Michael) Hutchins; son Nicholas Earl Perkins, all of Blanding; father Elbert (Florence) Randles of Cortez, CO; brothers Arthur (Trina) of Richfield, UT; and Larry (Barbara) Darby of Winnemucca, NV; as well as grandchildren, nieces, nephews, step-sisters, Aunts, Uncle Clifford and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother Norma Jean; stepmother Marvel Burnside; son Michael Angelo Garcia, and nephew Darin Darby.
Mary was a blessing to all who knew her and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed.
