Lady Bucks finish season at state tournament

The #14 seed Monticello girls basketball team were defeated by the #3 seed Rich Rebels 53-12 to open the state tournament on February 28.
The Lady Buckaroos were led by Kenlee Atwood who scored six points, with Jemma Robison and Maron Freestone each scoring three.
The Lady Bucks were then defeated 50-32 by Bryce Valley on February 29. Robison led the way with 11 points, while Tessaa Slade scored nine points off the bench for Monticello.
Atwood scored four, Kahryme Alvarado and Maron Freestone scored three and Alyssa Sanchez had two points.
Monticello will bid a fond farewell to seniors Kenlee Atwood, Jemma Robison, Kahryme Alvarado, and Alyssa Sanchez.
