Monument Valley boys basketball team conclude season, girls on to the state tournament

Monument Valley girls basketball team is off to the state tournament this week. The lady Cougars earned the #5 seed in 1A tournament as they finished the season with a record of 16-5 and went undefeated in region play to claim the region 23 title.
The lady Cougars take on #12 Altamont in the second round of the state tournament in Richfield on March 1 at 11:30 a.m. The game will be broadcast on Red Rock 92.7 FM.
While the girls team looks to make a deep tournament run the Monument Valley boys team was defeated in a play-in game on February 25.
The Cougars were defeated 80-56 by the #17 seed Tintic Miners to conclude their season.
