Hideout Golf Course hosts largest golf tournaments in memory

The Hideout Amateur Golf Tournament, held July 28 and 29 in Monticello, attracted 115 golfers in one of the largest fields in recent years.
Posting the lowest score in the championship flight is Ryan Brinton, who scored 80 and 73 for a total of 153. He bested Chris Matthews by a stroke and third place Tyler Weight by three strokes. Fourth place is Brandon Lyon (157) and Zac Hansen (158).
The low net score in the championship flight is 147 by Bob Maggard, followed by Josh Seow (148), Brent Simons (152), Craig Gardner (153), and Kyle Englund (154).
In A flight, the lowest gross score is 152 by Pat Bird. This was the lowest score in the tournament. Second is Josh Fleming (157), followed by Trevor Lyon and Kyle Walrath at 158 and Paul Norman (163).
The low net score in A flight is a tie between Chris Reed and Clayton Ward at 141, followed by Josh Keyes (145), and Joe Ligon and Joe Rukavina at 147.
In B flight, the low gross score is 157 by Brandon Powell, followed by Brian Virgin (169), Rick Shipley and Vicente Paez at 171, and Craig Packard at 190.
The low net score in B flight is 144 by Reed McCourt. He is followed by Bob Peirce (148), Antonio Smith (149), Brandon Johnson (152), and Ron Coutcher (153).
The lowest gross score in C flight is 161 by Marx Powell. He is followed by Dell Hunter (171), Jim Swenson and Jolly Bayles at 177, and Paul Jeo at 180.
The low net score in C flight is 138 by Regan McDaniel. He is followed by Dan Sumison and Gerald Etsitty at 141, Sy Harrison at 142, and Ronnie Smith at 144.
The payout was $500 for first place, $400 for second, $300 for third, $200 for fourth, and $100 for fifth.
The previous day, July 27, was the Shootout, a two-man best ball tournament. The event attracted 132 golfers in the biggest single event ever at the Hideout.
There were two shotgun starts for the golfers. The A flight title was claimed by Chris. Matthews and Adam Bronson, with a gross score of 68. Tying for the A flight net title are Jordan Martinez and Tony Mike, along with Manuel Torres and Rafe Sanders. They each scored 60.
The B flight low gross score was a tie at 71. Claiming the title are David Bleggi and Terri Hoskins, along with Andy Worthington and Steve Jenner.
The low net score in B flight is 58 by Brandon and Marx Powell.
Jake Francom hit a hole-in-one on Hole #11 during the Shootout.
