Monticello junior Triston Felix hurls a pitch homeward in the Buckaroos’ game against Dolores, CO on April 28. Felix set a new Utah State record for most strikeouts in a season this past week during play in the 2A state tournament. The previous record was 156, set in 2003 and matched in 2004 by Mark Pawelek of Springville High. Felix’s current tally of 163 topples that record 22 seasons later.
