Annual Special Prom held in Blanding

This year’s annual Special Prom was special indeed because it obviously had two angels in attendance.  Sponsored by the youth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Blanding UT Stake, the prom was once again beautifully decorated and well attended. In addition to many of the Transitions clients, who were the kings and queens of the prom, and local youth, one could not help but feel the presence of two special women who helped make the prom a reality in the past: Sandra Asbury and her daughter, Billina.  Billina passed away on April 7 from the same cancer that claimed her mother just a year earlier.  Billina’s brother, Mitchell, and her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter were all in attendance at the prom.
