Fall Festival this weekend in Blanding

The annual Fall Festival will be held in Blanding on Saturday, September 14, marking the unofficial start of the Fall season.
“The Fall Festival is a great opportunity to get people out and enjoy the season,” said Blanding Mayor Logan Monson. “This has been a tradition for several years and we are glad to sponsor the event.”
The focus of the Fall Festival is on family activities and a full day of events are planned Centennial Park, culminating in a free community dinner beginning at 5:30.
More than 20 food and vendor booths, inflatables, activities, giveaways, and a corn pit will begin at noon and run through the afternoon.
Touch a Truck, from noon to 3 p.m., gives community members a chance to get up close and personal with police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and other vehicles.
Tickets will be required for the 5:30 p.m. community meal and will be available at the event beginning at noon.
Events begin with a Cornhole Tournament at 11 a.m. and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament begins at noon. Minute to Win It and Karaoke begin at 1 p.m. and a Hot Dog eating contest begins at 3 p.m.

The Fall Festival is presented by the City of Blanding, with sponsorship by Utah Navajo Health System, Energy Fuels, San Juan Counseling, Utah State University Blanding, SJC-PAC, and the San Juan County Youth Coalition.
