Montalvo takes over as new postmaster in Blanding

Regina Montalvo was recently named the 20th Postmaster of the Blanding Post Office, serving the community for more than 120 years.
She started her postal career in 2021 as a city carrier assistant in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and was promoted as a career letter carrier in 2022. She continued to deliver mail in Lake Havasu until her appointment as the Wikieup, AZ, postmaster earlier this year.
Montalvo is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars women’s auxiliary in her hometown, volunteers to help seniors, and enjoys sports of all kinds. She looks forward to serving her new community in Utah.
“Blanding is an amazing community; everyone here has been very welcoming,” she said. “I have great, hard-working employees who understand the important work they accomplish every day.”
Montalvo manages 10 employees and the office serves Blanding residents with 300 PO Boxes and 2,400 delivery points. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am – 3:45 pm; Saturday 8 am – 12 pm; and closed on Sunday.
