Blue Mountain Entertainment presents Spring Gala April 27

Talent, talent, and more talent will be on display as Blue Mountain Entertainment presents the Annual Spring Gala on Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m. in the Monticello High School Auditorium.
Adding to the pleasure, as its gift to the community, BME invites everyone to attend this festival of fun with no admission fee.
Relatively new to Monticello, Program Chairmen Kristi Clark, with generous guidance and assistance from Laura Butler and Scott Mitchell, has assembled a wide variety of local performers who are eager and prepared to entertain with music, dance and dramatics.
Lexy Veach’s group of sixth to eighth grade dancers will step out in a jazz and techno-pop routine titled “Classic.” 
The Monticello High School drill team, the Vaqueras, under the direction of Monique Christiansen, will perform.
And 10-year-old Avery Young, who has qualified for dance nationals by winning first place at the America On Stage dance competition, will show her special talent in a contemporary solo, “Bird Song.”  
The graceful Hallie Young will do an en pointe ballet dance titled “Flora’s Secret.”   
The multi-talented Scott Mitchell will strum an electric guitar for his original composition, “The Snake.”
The beautiful voices of Ellen Nerdin and Carol Martin will blend as they sing the popular duet, “Call of the Flowers,” from the French opera “Lakme.”       
Millie Boyle will interpret an exciting contemporary piano piece called “Yellow,” by Kevin Olson, and young Bronson Young will play his original piano composition entitled “Soar.” 
Flutist Tawna Wells will perform “Menuet,” by Georges Bizet, and Molly Anderson will play the French horn concerto “Romanze,” by Mozart.
Trent Duke will show his vocal talent by singing “This Is The Moment” from the Broadway musical “Jekyll and Hyde;” and Tacie Woodhouse will sing “The Melody Within,” accompanied by Sarah Wolford. 
Mrs. Wolford’s drama students Mary Beh and Millie Boyle will   repeat humorous monologues which earned superior ratings at the state drama competition, while Anna Rowley and Michaela Wolford will perform their state superior-rated scene called “Anger Management.” 
There are likely to be other surprise performances.
The Spring Gala is Blue Mountain Entertainment’s season finale, a free of charge gift to the public. 
Donations for the concert grand piano refinishing would be appreciated.
