Blue Mountain Native Club competes

The San Juan High School ‘Blue Mountain Native Club’ competed in the annual  “Knowledge Bowl” in Shiprock, NM, on May 7 and won in several catagories!  Accompaning the group were chaperones Brenda James and Jewel Yanito.  Placing second in Navajo Writing and Speaking was Trevor Buck.   The whole group also placed second in Group Singing! In third place were Audrey Luttrell in the Navajo Spelling Bee.   Melanie Daniels and Kayla Frank both placed third in the Girls’ Song and Dance. Fourth place winners are Oshla Drake in Girls’ Song and Dance, and Harlan Shepherd in the Boys’ Song and Dance.
