Bucks over Raiders 62-0

The Monticello Buckaroo football team opened the 2012 season with a 62-0 thrashing of the Whitehorse Raiders on August 17 in Monticello.
The Bucks jumped to an early lead, scoring 24 points in the opening minutes, and never looking back to open the season with a home victory.
Buckaroos who scored running touchdowns include Cole Eldredge (29 yards), Brian Robinson (seven yards and 60 yards), Austin Maloy (35 yards), Austin Wilcox (65 yards), Dillon Maughan (three yards), and Makade Maloy (20 yards).
Jake Duncan added another touchdown on a 61-yard pass from Austin Maloy, while PJ Leiataua kicked a bundle of extra points and added a 38-yard field goal to close the scoring.
Two Raider punt attempts resulted in two safeties for the Buckaroo defense.
The Buckaroos  looked good to start the new year.  Austin Maloy has moved to the quarterback position, with 2011 quarterback Brian Robinson moving into a running back position.
Linemen who looked good for the Bucks include Shayne Christensen, Jake Giles, Tyrell Lee, Eric Anderson, Gunnar Hollingsworth, Vance Westcott and Zach Johnson.
The linebacker corps is led by Brandon Musselman, Austin Wilcox and PJ Leiataua.
Whitehorse was led by Cedale Armstrong, Edgar Hasken, Daivik Mitchell, and Sheldon Saltclah.
The Bucks host the San Juan  Broncos on August 24 at 7 p.m.
