Blanding City Council
4-year term
Over 15 years ago, I told my husband, Mike Bowers, I wanted to run for City Council.  He told me jokingly, “I was crazy,” while always supporting me. 
Realizing the time wasn’t right, I decided to wait...Now, older, hopefully wiser, retired from my position with Air Medical Resource Group, and the full support of my family; I am ready.
As a current Council Member, running for re-election, I’m excited and proud to serve this city. I would love your vote for Blanding City Council.
Since my words are limited, I want to focus on a few things, that I support and hope to accomplish.

Unite as a community through our love of Blanding
Prepare for our future through a well planned and active Economic Development Plan
Continue to support public lands for the people. Not the government.
Continue to create and support programs for our children
Support city beautification including adopting a Recreation Signage Plan
Work closely with other cities in San Juan County, bridge divides that exist now
Support and help promote programs for locals to shop locally
Offer training and support for current and future businesses
My experience running a household and managing hundreds of employees, taught me several important things:  
There is always two sides to every story, listen to the thoughts and ideas of others and don’t make up your mind until this is done. 
I plan to vote and base my decisions on listening, common sense, experience, and financial efficiency, but also with a heart and a conscience.
