If you were in San Juan County this week, you would know clearly that among the Native American community, a "large, vocal, and interested group support the National Monument and a large, vocal and interested group oppose the National Monument." No spin, no PR, no press release from a "credible" advocacy group on either side, it is just simple facts. It is the on-the-ground reality. The majority of local Native Americans who spoke at the public hearing oppose the monument. There are also local Native voices who spoke in support of the monument. There is a diversity of opinion in San Juan County and any attempt to convince you otherwise is manipulation.
