Running for: Blanding City Council, 2 year term

As a lifelong resident of Blanding I have felt that it is my responsibility to give back to this community that I love. When there became a vacancy on the council I knew that now was the time for me to offer my services. My children are raised and even though I am still busy with my business and other activities I felt that I had the time to devote to this position. Even though I have much to learn, I feel like my experience in my business and the time I have spent in various church and community organizations have helped in this learning process. The present council and mayor have established the kind of leadership I would like to be a part of. My greatest desire is for the youth of this community and for their future here in Blanding. I would like to help make decisions so that they can enjoy a place of safety and a place where they and all of us, have an opportunity to excel. I also hope to promote opportunities for employment now and in the future for those who would like to make Blanding their home. As I said, I still have much to learn but I am willing and anxious to put in the time and effort to be a productive councilman. Now is the time to make your voices heard for those you want to represent you. I would appreciate your vote on Election Day.
