Ryan Palmer

Ryan Palmer and his wife both grew up in the Blanding area and recently welcomed their third child to the family. Like many San Juan County residents, he loves the outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family in the mountains. He also enjoys running and cycling.

Palmer earned a Bachelor of English Education degree from Brigham Young University and a Master of Education and Educational Leadership degree from Southern Utah University. He taught in the Nebo School District and the Alpine School District before coming to the San Juan School District as an English teacher. This will be his first year in administration as an Assistant Principal for Albert R. Lyman Middle School.

Palmer believes that a quality education is the foundation for successful, well-rounded adults and community members. He says, “It is our responsibility to create an environment where students can be challenged to learn and grow.”
