San Juan High Drama delightfully performs ‘The Addams Family’

All the ghoulish family members of the Addams Family were present at the Blanding High School during the five day presentation of the musical put on by the San Juan High School Drama Club. The play was artfully directed under the supervision of Drama Teacher Kayla Vernon.
“There has been more parental and community support for this show than any of the others so far. And it was so nice to see everyone enjoying the work that we put into it,” Vernon said. “I had an amazing student director/choreographer and a wonderful student stage manager and technical crew. I’m a lucky Drama teacher.”
Assisting in her endeavors were Student Director Skyler Jensen, Scenic Designer Kayla and Bronson Vernon, Choreographer Skyler Jensen, Stage Manager Jo Clinger, Scenic Painters Nichole Saffrit, Art Classes, Drama Classes and the Art Club.
The musical was originally produced on Broadway and some of the leading roles in the drama club’s recreation were: Carter Redd (Gomez Addams), Halli Black (Morticia Addams), Thomas Perkins (Uncle Fester), Joy Parker (Wednesday Addams), Emma Ward (Grandma), Joshua Webb (Pugsley Addams) and Elijah Ward (Lurch).
The San Juan High School Drama Club will next perform at the High School on Feb. 25--March 1 when they present, “The Curious Savage.”
